## Summary

Essex County Council has awarded contracts for the provision of carers support services in different regions across Essex. The contracts, divided into three lots for West Essex, Mid and South Essex, and North-East Essex, aim to deliver practical support, interventions, and peer support groups tailored to local needs. The initial contract period for each lot is 3 years with a possible extension of up to 2 years. The Council has engaged with carers and partners extensively to create a support offer centred on the Core Offer, providing critical services for unpaid carers of all ages.

The opportunities presented in these contracts are ideal for businesses looking to provide health and social work services aimed at supporting carers in Essex. The procurement process is focused on quality, social value, and commercial aspects, with criteria set to ensure the best services for carers. Interested businesses, especially SMEs, with expertise in delivering support services and a commitment to social impact, are well-suited to compete for these contracts. The planned contract values, significant coastline, and diverse population of the Essex region present opportunities for businesses to contribute meaningfully to community wellbeing and growth.
