## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has completed the procurement process for Project JUNO, which involves the design, build, and launch of a flight satellite. This project, classified under the goods category for satellites (CPV: 34712200), was undertaken in Surrey, specifically at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. in Guildford. The project progressed through a competitive procedure with negotiation, and the final contract was awarded to Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. Key dates include the contract signed on 8th October 2024 and the procurement status marked complete as of 13th December 2024.

Project JUNO offers significant business growth opportunities for companies specialising in space technology, satellite manufacturing, and satellite launch services. The demanding requirements for high-resolution electro-optical imaging and integration with the MOD's ISTARI ground architecture make this project well-suited for businesses experienced in advanced satellite technology and defence projects. Companies capable of providing end-to-end satellite solutions, including design, assembly, integration, testing, commissioning, and operational support, as well as those able to manage long-term maintenance and training, can benefit from the MOD's sustained investment in space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.
