## Summary

The Hull City Council is leading a procurement process for the provision to deliver the Multiply Programme in the Science & Mathematics category. This project aims to address client and employer demand for level 2 Math qualifications over a 3-year period, starting from September 2022. ## Notice

The scope of this project is to seek one or more service providers across all Lots to deliver the Multiply programme over a 3-year period. The contract will commence from September 2022 until 31st August 2025 and is being led and administered by Hull Training and Adult Education Hull City Council. The delivery programme will address client and employer led demand and will provide opportunities to train, upskill and work towards level 2 Math qualifications. The project is open to all delivery providers that meet the eligibility criteria and will support the Authority to achieve its aim in contributing and commitment to increasing the percentage of the local population with level 2 math qualifications and skills. The Multiply programme delivery shall be split into five lots: Lot 1 - First steps to math confidence Lot 2 - Helping with cost of living Lot 3 -Practical math Lot 4 - Improving employability math Lot 5 - Community engagement math

### Lot Information

Provision to deliver the Multiply Programme - Category 2 - Science & Mathmatics

Lot 1 - (First Steps to Math confidence) - Numeracy activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners Maximum funding for this Lot is PS232,00 over a 3-year period with an expectation of a minimum 232 learners will be recruited to the multiply programme to include an engagement of 10 guided learning hours per individual. All learning must be instructed under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor tutor or an appropriate provider of education and training whilst on the Multiply programme. (Minimum of 2320 learning hours across the provision). Additional information: Department of Education (DfE) funding - Multiply Funding to improve numeracy skills for adults (aged 19 and above).

Helping with cost of living

Lot 2 - Helping with cost of living - Courses designed to increase confidence with numbers for those needing the first steps towards formal numeracy qualifications. Provision Maximum funding for this Lot is PS102,200 over a 3-year period with an expectation of a minimum 1022 learners will be recruited to the multiply programme to include an engagement of 2 guided learning hours per individual. All learning must be instructed under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor tutor or an appropriate provider of education and training whilst on the Multiply programme. Minimum of 2044 Guided learning hours across the provision. Additional information: Department of Education (DfE) funding - Multiply Funding to improve numeracy skills for adults (aged 19 and above).

Practical math

Lot 3 - (Practical math), Courses designed to help people use numeracy to manage their money. Maximum funding for this Lot is PS60,000, over a 3-year period with an expectation of a minimum 60 learners will be recruited to the multiply programme to include an engagement of 20 guided learning hours per individual. All learning must be instructed under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor tutor or an appropriate provider of education and training whilst on the Multiply programme. Minimum of 1200 guided learning hours across the provision. Provision to ensure ex-offenders have opportunity to occupy their time and learn new skills to reduce the chances of them reoffending. We will offer learning opportunities that allows them to maintain positive activity in order to reduce the possibility of them reoffending. We will incorporate maths into the delivery of subjects such as painting and decorating; basic household DIY and maintenance; How to become self-employed; Basic computer skills, prisoners do not have access to computers and often technology has moved on since their incarceration; Making and crafting. We will work closely with our partners at HMP Hull to ensure that all learning offered is attractive to the prisoner and enables them to improve their maths skills. Improving employability math

Lot 4 (Improving employability math), Courses aimed at people who can't apply for certain jobs because of lack of numeracy skills and/or to encourage people to upskill in numeracy order to access a certain job/career Maximum funding for this Lot is PS821,000 over a 3-year period with an expectation of a minimum 821 learners will be recruited to the multiply programme to include an engagement of 40 guided learning hours per individual. All learning must be instructed under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor tutor or an appropriate provider of education and training whilst on the Multiply programme. Minimum of 32,840 guided learning hours across the provision. Additional information: Department of Education (DfE) funding - Multiply Funding to improve numeracy skills for adults (aged 19 and above).

Community engagement math

Lot 5 - (Community engagement math), Numeracy activities, courses or provision developed in partnership with community organisations and other partners aimed at engaging the hardest to reach learners. Maximum funding for this Lot is PS170,000 over a 3-year period with an expectation of a minimum 170 learners will be recruited to the multiply programme to include an engagement of a minimum guided learning hours per individual. All learning must be instructed under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor tutor or an appropriate provider of education and training whilst on the Multiply programme. Minimum of 340 guided learning hours across the provision. A minimum of 2 engagement hours per individual, with a view to progressing into more formal learning (funded through AEB) after 8 weeks.
