## Summary

The recent procurement process involves the Dumfries and Galloway Council, focused on the "Pupil Equity Funding (PEF) Flexible Framework" under the education and training services category. The location of the project is predominantly within UKM92, at schools across Dumfries & Galloway. This stage of the procurement process is marked as complete, and key contracts were signed on 26th August 2024 with the awarded suppliers. The framework aims to provide additional funding to schools under the Scottish Government's Scottish Attainment Challenge programme, intended to close the poverty-related attainment gap. The framework includes services like activity-based learning, counselling, creative engagement, parental support, and more, with bids evaluated based on quality (60%) and price (40%).

This tender provides numerous opportunities for businesses, especially SMEs, to partner with the educational sector, fostering growth and expansion. The selected suppliers, including Columba 1400, Field Studies Council, HeadStrong (Scotland) Limited, and others, indicate a strong representation of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that can benefit from steady contracts and added credibility. Businesses offering educational services, psychological support, community engagement, and creative learning activities are well-positioned to compete in such tenders, paving the way for innovation in educational support and community development. The procurement was conducted via an open procedure, ensuring a transparent and competitive bidding environment.
