Collection, processing and brokerage of Mixed Glass

arc21 is seeking to procure a Contractor(s) to: (a) Provide and operate a collection service for Mixed Glass (Lot 1), the provision of Textile Banks and the collection of textiles (Lot 2) , Mixed Paper (Lot 3) and Mixed Cans (Lot 4) from Bring Sites ; (b) The transportation of those materials to facilities for sorting to recover materials in preparation for sale to recycling markets; (c) Identify markets for such materials for sale to those markets; (d) Record and report the statistics to demonstrate the level of recovery and recycling achieved. Additional information: The estimated total value of the contract/lot 1: 3024634.56 GBP. The contract value in this section covers the contract for Lot 1 only. The estimated value is based on arc21's calculation of the average market price for Mixed Glass from the Lets Recycle website between June 2022 and May 2023 plus the gate fee received by the successful tenderer from arc21 for each tonne of Mixed Glass, multiplied by the current forecasts of tonnage and incorporating an adjustment for indexation. The figure also relates to the maximum possible duration of the contract which is 96 months.

Options: The Authority shall at its absolute discretion have options to extend the Contract for: a up to an additional two years beyond the initial four year term the "Extended Term" and then b up to a further two year additional period beyond the Extended Term. Giving a maximum potential term of the Contract of 8 years.

Renewal: The initial term of the contract is for 48 months. The Authority then has an option to extend the duration of the contract for up to a further 48 months, giving a potential total contract term of 96 months.
