PLASMA COLLECTION SET- A collection of sterile, flexible, plastic tubing and associated items e.g. couplers, adapters, clamps used to transfer blood or blood components into container's or between containers for processing or storage. This includes extra bags for when a patient has a larger plasma exchange volume. This is a single use device. 3. PLASMA EXCHANGE SET - A collection of sterile, flexible, plastic tube segments and associated items intended to be used in an aphesis system to channel blood from the patient to an appropriate apheresis column before being returned to the patient. It creates a closed-circuit for the extracorporeal removal of a constituent of whole blood e.g. plasma. This is commonly known as a plasma line.
