## Summary

The Cruise Terminal Mooring Upgrades & Electrical Spine Route tender, issued by Dover Harbour Board, aims to enhance mooring safety for vessels at CT1, 2, and 3 by replacing bollards with larger capacity Quick Release Hooks. This construction works tender is in the award stage, with a contract signed on July 1, 2024. The project involves extensive structural enhancements and electrical installations within the Cruise Terminal at Port of Dover.

This selective procurement opportunity presents business growth potential for construction and engineering firms specializing in structural works, trench-digging, reinforced-concrete structures, and electrical installations. Suitable businesses should be equipped to manage complex civil engineering projects, including foundation construction, pier strengthening, electrical ductwork, and significant structural upgrades. The closed tender invites qualified companies to bid for this competitive opportunity and expand their portfolio in the construction sector.

## Notice

To improve the mooring safety of the current vessel sizes which berth at CT1, 2 and 3, the Port intends to replace and supplement the existing bollards with bollards and Quick Release Hooks (QRH) of significantly larger capacity. Due to the order of magnitude of bollard capacity increases, substantial structural works such as rock anchors and pier strengthening will be required to accommodate the proposed bollards. As well as this, the successful tenderer will undertake all necessary civils and services required for the installation of new Quick Release Hooks (QRHs) within the Cruise Terminal, including foundation construction, electrical ductwork and connections.
