The focus is on IT services: consulting, software development, Internet, and support. This procurement aims to explore technologies enhancing deer carcass transportation and sustainability practices across Scotland. This tender offers growth opportunities for innovative tech businesses, particularly those skilled in automation and sustainability. With a total value of £650,000, it provides a significant financial incentive. The open procedure allows any organisation, team, or individual to participate, making it ideal for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) aiming to collaborate with public sector expertise. These businesses can develop new products, gain market presence, and contribute to sustainable practices, aligning with Scottish Government's objectives in climate change and biodiversity.

## Notice

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) are tasked with the humane culling of deer and transportation of deer carcases across a wide range of landscapes and terrains across Scotland. The process of retrieving the carcass to a larder facility can be time consuming, arduous, and physically challenging all of which can create inefficiencies within the system. FLS are keen to explore technologies that can automate some, or all of this process, whilst maintaining carcass quality and integrity and food hygiene standards in order to improve efficiencies, decrease the physical demands on Wildlife Rangers and support achieving the Scottish Government's Climate Change and biodiversity objectives by reducing deer densities.
