## Summary

The public procurement process for the NHS Supply Chain Logistics Service Provider, managed by Supply Chain Coordination Limited (SCCL), recently reached the award stage. The procurement, designated as "Project 1135," aims to contract a Logistics Service Provider to manage critical logistics services across England and Wales. This includes warehousing, transport operations, inventory management, and more. The awarded contract to GXO, a leading logistics company, became active on 2nd May 2025, with a total contract value of £4.2 billion. This significant procurement falls under the 'services' category, specifically targeting storage and warehousing services across various locations in the UK. The competitive procedure with negotiation ensured a comprehensive selection process.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for business growth, especially for entities with expertise in large-scale logistics, storage, and warehousing services. Companies capable of providing integrated logistics solutions, including warehouse management systems and facilities management, are well-suited to compete for such contracts. Additionally, businesses that can offer innovative operational finance services and robust international freight solutions would find a significant market with the NHS Supply Chain. The procurement process's open nature, which used a selective method, allows suitable businesses to demonstrate their value in managing comprehensive logistical operations, thereby fostering potential long-term partnerships with public sector organisations.
