This will help the county of Essex achieve the target of reaching carbon net zero, provide diversified income to local farmers and support food production by improving soils, while providing multiple other social benefits. We have identified potential woodland carbon projects as well as soil carbon projects that can sequester tens of thousands of tonnes of CO2e and wish to explore the appetite of private and public sector organisations in purchasing high integrity, local carbon offsets.
