### Procurement Information

The Service Contract is for K3 Camera and Gatan Image Filter (GIF), which are used on a Krios Microscope for research purposes. The award of the contract to Ametek (GB) Limited is made on the following basis; Following Market engagement and appropriate consultation by the College to determine procurement options, it was agreed with stakeholders, that the contract should be awarded to Ametek (GB) Limited for the K3 camera and Gatan Image Filter (GIF). The new contract will ensure consistency of service with the original manufacturers of the items, which are a critical component for the functioning of our Krios Microscope, which is an essential part of research activity for our academic community and students. The microscope manufacturers have also consented to this arrangement, which are in the best interest of the College. The College also concluded that the 4-year contract offers value for money and maintenance with original parts is retained as was originally envisaged at award stage of the Krios Microscope in 2017.
