## Summary

The London Borough of Southwark has recently awarded a contract for Adults Advocacy and Children & Young People Advocacy services. The procurement process, completed in 2024, was open in nature. The contract includes options for extension at the contracting authority's discretion. The main procurement category is services, with the buying organisation seeking providers for advocacy services within the social work and related services industry. The contracting authority had set quality and price criteria for awarding the contracts.

This tender by the London Borough of Southwark provides opportunities for businesses in the social work and related services sector. Suitable businesses would include providers of independent advocacy services for adults and advocacy services for children in care. The procurement process had different lots for separate services, each with specific requirements outlined in the tender pack. Businesses with experience in statutory advocacy services for adults and young people, and those capable of forming long-term friendships with young people in care, are well-suited to compete for these contracts.
