The sample extracts will be examined for a wide range of compounds to comply with the requirements of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC plus other environmental directives. The system will also be used for investigative sample screening for known and unknown contaminants and for pollution incident response analysis.

A full solution including instrumentation and methodology is required for analysis of TPH in soils/sediments, solid waste, and waters. The method must have achieved accreditation to ISO 17025 by the United Kingdom accreditation service (UKAS) and MCERTS in other operational UK laboratories and references will be required.
