The Institute for Multiscale Thermofluids is seeking to develop a pulse-burst femtosecond laser system, which will be used for temporally resolved Ballistic Imaging and two-photon laser induced fluorescence (TP-LIF) imaging of liquid sprays. Within the laboratory there is an existing Ti:sapphire 35 fs laser, and to create a pulse-burst fs laser system, we are now purchasing two additional Ti:sapphire lasers that work together in tandem with our current Ti:sapphire laser.

### Procurement Information

The supplier of the original laser system has worked with the University of Edinburgh to develop this solution. It is essential that the characteristics and output of the lasers match exactly those currently used for the purposes of the research. For this reason, it is not technically possible to source these additional components from any other manufacturer.
