## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership has completed a procurement process to award a contract for the provision of Stroke Support Services. The service aims to assist adults diagnosed with a stroke by providing information, advice, and emotional support, post-hospital discharge. The procurement, categorised under health and social work services, was for a third sector provider to deliver these services. The contract was awarded to The Stroke Association in February 2024.

This tender presents an opportunity for third sector providers in the health and social work services industry to offer vital support services to stroke survivors and their families. Businesses well-suited to compete for such contracts are those with experience in delivering post-hospital discharge support services, including information provision, advice, and emotional support. Given the focus on stroke prevention and education, organisations with expertise in relevant health programmes and awareness campaigns may also find this tender suitable for business growth.
