Scotland Excel is exploring a national approach to commissioning residential care services for adults. The aim of the Service shall be to provide a safe and supported residential care environment to meet the needs of adults (18 to 65 years old) with varying complexity of support needs, which may include health needs. The key requirements mainly relate to adults in the following client care groups aged 18 years and over with physical or neurological conditions; acquired brain injury; enduring mental ill health; learning disability/ difficulty or life limiting conditions. Information sought includes: - Wider interest in future provision - Views on the benefits of a national approach to commissioning Additional information: This service will be for providers that have approved registration with the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council. Please note that this exercise is not a tender for services and any subsequent invitation to tender for any future procurement will be issued by public notice via Public Contracts Scotland (https://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk/)
