## Summary

The procurement process for the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) involves a contract for MCX Dispatcher and related services, presented by the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Public Safety Group, based in London, UK. This contract focuses on communication software development services and spans an initial term of 48 months, ending on 9 July 2029, with a potential extension of 12 months. The procurement stage has reached completion with Leonardo UK Limited awarded the contract, valued at £11.3 million. The competitive procedure with negotiation was utilised in this selective procurement, supporting the transitioning needs of the UK's emergency service control rooms from Airwave to the Emergency Services Network (ESN).

This tender offers significant prospects for businesses specialising in communication software development, particularly those capable of delivering robust technical solutions for emergency services. Targeted firms can leverage this opportunity to showcase their expertise in high-security, critical applications, positioning themselves for future projects within the public safety domain. The involvement of a major entity like Leonardo UK Limited underscores the scale and significance of this initiative, suggesting that businesses with a large-scale operational capacity and a track record in similar fields would be well-suited to compete in this arena. Small to medium-sized enterprises with innovative, adaptable solutions could also seek to participate in supporting roles or as part of a larger consortium.
