## Summary

Ards and North Down Borough Council has initiated a tender for the provision of integrated consultancy services for the redevelopment of Pickie Fun Park as part of the Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment. The tender, titled "ANDBC Pre-Qualification Questionnaire - Provision of Integrated Consultancy Services for Pickie Fun Park Redevelopment under Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment", falls under the architectural design services category. It is currently in the active stage, with submissions closing on 13th November 2023, and invitations to the second stage being sent on 18th January 2024. The procurement method used is a restricted procedure, and this redevelopment project aims to support Bangor’s regeneration into a prime visitor attraction in Northern Ireland, supported by the Belfast Region City Deal.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in architectural design, construction project management, and related consultancy services. The project’s substantial budget of £500,000 indicates a significant engagement that can contribute to business growth and portfolio expansion. Firms with expertise in delivering high-quality design, cost management, and those capable of offering innovative social value initiatives will be well-suited to compete. The connection with a prestigious regional authority like Ards and North Down Borough Council also promises long-term potential for collaborative success and visibility in the market.

## Notice

Ards and North Down Borough Council seeks to appoint an Integrated Consultancy Team (ICT) to undertake consultancy services through RIBA Stages 0 - 7. The services required under this contract are for the design and management of the delivery of Pickie Fun Park Redevelopment. This project is one of five constituent projects included in the Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment programme, to help re-establish Bangor as a thriving City and prime visitor attraction in Northern Ireland. The Bangor Waterfront Redevelopment project is a tourism led regeneration scheme which has secured funding through the Belfast Region City Deal to turn Bangor into a 'destination of choice', as a place to live, work, visit, study and invest, through a series of interconnected developments and experiences along Bangor Waterfront. The redeveloped facility at Pickie Fun Park will contribute to the Contracting Authority's long-term vision to 'Seamlessly connect the waterfront to the rest of the city and, in doing so, provide a unique, wide range of opportunities for residents, visitors and businesses, inspired by a wonderful environment, public spaces, creative events and activities with attractions that speak of local stories to a global audience'. The Bangor Waterfront Outline Business Case (OBC) concluded that while the park is already a popular attraction, it has the potential to expand its offer and build upon its existing success to ensure its ongoing viability and sustainability.
