The electric vehicles will be used mainly around Tirana with some long journeys to distant prisons in Albania, moving to electric vehicles is part of the drive towards net zero and is part of a wider greening initiative. The required vehicles should be delivered at once.

### Procurement Information

Due to the fact that the vehicles need to be delivered at the same time and be of the same model, the time was of the essence and the vehicles needed to be manufactured and delivered prior to FY23/24 end. As market research showed, Porsche Albania was the only supplier in the market which could meet our technical and delivery requirements on time. Running formal tender would have put the delivery of the project to significant risk (due to the delivery, manufacturing, budgetary factors).
