## Summary

The Essex County Council is planning a tender for AWD Domiciliary Care services. The procurement process aims to engage directly with providers of domiciliary care for adults with disabilities, including those with learning disabilities, autism, physical, or sensory impairments. A face-to-face engagement event is scheduled in Essex on Tuesday 5th December 2023 at Chelmsford City Racecourse. The event will focus on sharing current thinking and future approaches, offering workshops on various topics such as procurement models, quality improvement, and social value.

This tender by Essex County Council presents an opportunity for providers of domiciliary care services to adults with disabilities. Businesses in the social work services without accommodation sector, particularly those experienced in catering to adults with diverse needs, would be well-suited to compete. The engagement event on 5th December 2023 provides a platform for suppliers to share their expertise, shape future commissioning strategies, and potentially secure contracts by aligning their offerings with the Council's procurement approach and priorities.
