The partnership, known as DASWC (The Devon Authorities Strategic Waste Committee), consists of representatives at both officer and councillor level from all Devon District Councils and Torbay Council. From 1st April 2024, Waste Glass from Exeter City Council and the District Councils of East Devon, Mid-Devon, North Devon and Teignbridge will require collection and haulage from their respective Waste Collection Points for Recovery at the Contractor's Waste Recovery Point(s). The Waste Collection Point locations are listed within the specification provided in the contract documents, along with the estimated annual tonnage. Appendix A within the procurement documents provides further detail regarding each Waste Collection Point. The estimated value of this contract as stated within the original contract notice and this award notice is based off only the tendered haulage costs payable to the winning contractor.
