## Summary

The procurement process conducted by the Tower Hamlets, titled "HAC5943 - Mental Health Supported Living Services", focused on securing services within the health and social work sector. The primary aim was to provide supported living services for residents with serious mental illnesses in London, specifically in areas like Bethnal Green, Stepney, and Shadwell. This open procurement procedure included three main lots with a total estimated value of £7,561,020, covering services at Huddleston Close, Teresa House, Hamlets Way, Grand Union Place, and Cannon Street Road. The tender stage was active as of November 2023, and the submission deadline was set for 18th December 2023, with contracts potentially extending up to five years including renewal options. This awarded contract involves the procurement of multiple high support units designed to enable residents to achieve greater independence and reduce hospital admissions.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for service providers experienced in mental health support services. With a focus on engaging with community mental health resources and improving life skills for residents, businesses with expertise in managing complex mental health needs, including substance misuse and challenging behaviours, are well-suited to compete. The awarded contracts, valued at different levels for each lot, offer a chance for growth and strategic partnerships with landlords like Gateway Housing Association and Notting Hill Genesis. Service providers are expected to innovate and efficiently deliver support that encourages the personal development of residents while managing housing arrangements, ensuring successful implementation throughout the contract's lifespan.
