The procurement process is officially titled "SLC - Care at Home and Housing Support Procured Services Arrangement" within the health and social work services category. This tender aims to appoint Service Providers starting from 1st July 2024. The delivery will primarily cater to individuals residing in South Lanarkshire, supported by the Council and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SLHSCP). Key dates include a tender closing date of 15th January 2024.

The procurement process opens significant opportunities for businesses specializing in health and social care services. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly well-suited to apply, given their ability to adapt and meet the diverse needs of Supported Persons, including those with disabilities and long-term health conditions. Providers will not only benefit from long-term contracts but also contribute to community benefits including transforming local communities through structured social value programs. Bidders must meet stringent criteria, including compliance with various technical and professional standards, which ensures high-quality delivery and accountability. With the procurement method being an open procedure, new and innovative care providers have the potential to grow and establish their services within South Lanarkshire over a prolonged period.

## Notice

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking to appoint Service Providers to a Procured Services Arrangement (PSA) for the provision of Care at Home and Housing Support Services commencing on 1st July 2024. The contract will be delivered to Supported Persons residing within South Lanarkshire and who are supported by the Council and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SLHSCP). SLHSCP deliver adult social care services and all community health services for adults and children in the South Lanarkshire area. The services will support individuals to live in their own homes and to play an active part in their communities as much as they are able. The Self Directed Support (SDS) regulations offer Supported Persons a choice of provider to an extent not available through a Framework or a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) therefore the Council is utilising an innovative Procured Services Arrangement (PSA) under the Light Touch Rules contained in Regulation 74 - 76 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. The PSA will allow providers to be added over its 15 year term, this will facilitate the Supported Person's choice.
