### Procurement Information

The functional specification is for a hand held gamma imagining detector, that in a single measurement event, is able to map and quantify radionuclides in the area of measurement.

The H3D H420+ detector is the only commercially available system that is able to meet this functional specification, which includes a spectral range of 50keV to 3 meV and a Full Width Half Maximum at 662 keV (Cs-137) better than 0.8%. This functional specification is required for the complex radionuclide 'fingerprints' on the Dounreay site. 

The technology is patented (ref U.S. Pat No. 7,411,197 and U.S. Pat No. 7,962,155 under licence from the University of Michigan, and U.S. Pat No. 10,032,264 and U.S, Pat No. 10,297,697).
