## Summary

The London Borough of Newham is planning a procurement process titled "Short Breaks for Children and Young People in Newham with SEND- Provider Event" in the health and social work services category. They aim to broaden their short break services for families by engaging potential providers in a market event on 4th January 2024. Interested parties must sign up by 2nd January 2024 and return a completed form to Sheila Begum. The event will discuss current services, explain the procurement system, assess interest from providers, and focus on quality outcomes for families.

This tender by the London Borough of Newham presents an opportunity for service providers in the health and social work sector to offer diverse short break services for families with disabled children in Newham. Businesses experienced in providing respite care, holiday and Saturday club services, and other forms of support would be well-suited to compete. The procurement process is currently at the planning stage, with a market engagement event scheduled for early January 2024 to facilitate dialogue and understanding between the council and potential providers.

## Notice

Please find a short form attached for your completion as part of the sign-up process for this event- this is to help us understand what you deliver as a provider. Please see section II.2.14.
