## Summary

Supply Chain Coordination Limited has awarded contracts for its "Advanced Wound Care" framework, focused on medical consumables, with contracts primarily covering various locations in the United Kingdom. This procurement, initiated by tender, targets the supply of goods such as Hydrogels and various types of dressings to promote wound healing. The framework is estimated to generate an initial expenditure of roughly £250,960,973 in its first year. The procurement process utilised an open procedure, leading to multiple awards to suppliers. Contracts were signed on 10 April 2025, following the completion of the tender process initiated earlier. NHS Supply Chain, a central purchasing body, was the operational buyer managing this framework.

The "Advanced Wound Care" contracts create substantial opportunities for businesses involved in medical goods supply, particularly those producing wound care items. With high anticipated expenditures and varied product requirements, such as super absorbent dressings and wound contact layers, suppliers can expect potential growth through this framework. The framework agreement provides flexibility with extensions possible for up to 48 months, which benefits suppliers looking to provide innovative solutions across the UK. SMEs form a significant part of the supplier base, indicating accessibility and opportunity for diverse business sizes to thrive within the NHS supply chain framework. With a focus on social value and rigorous standards, suppliers must maintain high-quality certifications and demonstrate resilience to meet compliance requirements effectively.
