## Summary

The Lancashire County Council has awarded contracts for the provision of Bikeability Training in Lancashire. This procurement process aimed to establish a multi-lotted, multiprovider framework to deliver training over multiple periods starting from 2024. The procurement method was an open procedure, and the award criteria included both quality and cost considerations. The contracting authority is Lancashire County Council, and the deadline for tender submission was 19th January 2024.

This procurement opportunity can create business growth opportunities for training providers and organisations specializing in education and training services. Businesses well-suited to compete are those with experience in delivering cycle training programmes and a track record of providing quality educational services. The lots cover various regions in Lancashire, offering scope for multiple providers to participate and contribute to enhancing cycling skills among school children. The framework allows for initial terms with options for extension, providing stability and potential for long-term partnerships.

## Notice

Bikeability is the Department for Transport's (DfT) flagship national cycling training programme for school children in England. Bikeability funding is distributed annually to local highway authorities which the Authority is classified as. The aim of this procurement is to establish a multi-lotted, multiprovider framework to deliver Bikeability training on behalf of the Authority for the periods 2024/2025, 2025/2026, 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.
