## Summary

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is undertaking the "LCR Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme Phase 3c," aimed at decarbonising 7 public estate buildings across the Liverpool City Region. The project, categorised under "Building installation work" (CPV code 45300000), focuses on reducing the carbon footprint through various upgrades including fabric improvements, heating system replacements, controls, electrical system upgrades, and renewable energy systems, with a total of 36 sites earmarked for photovoltaic (PV) installations. The procurement process is in its award stage, having commenced in January 2024. The open procedure was used, with a key contract awarded to Vital Energi Utilities Limited, and all work is scheduled to be completed by 31st March 2026. The combined value of the project is approximately GBP 9,961,860.

This tender offers significant business opportunities, particularly for firms specialising in building installation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy solutions. SMEs and larger enterprises providing high-quality services in insulation, LED lighting, heat pump installation, and PV systems stand to benefit from participation. This project not only supports business growth but also contributes to broader environmental goals. With the requirement to manage district heating connections to historic buildings, companies with experience in such specialised tasks will find this an apt opportunity. Given the substantial project scope and the need for simultaneous undertaking across multiple sites, businesses capable of managing complex, large-scale projects will be well-suited candidates.
