## Summary

The procurement process for "Electrosurgical Consumables and Related Accessories 2025" has been conducted by Supply Chain Coordination Limited, a national agency operating under the Department of Health in the UK. This open procurement procedure was aimed at sourcing a variety of operating theatre devices and instruments, specifically electrosurgical consumables such as patient plate return electrodes and surgical plume products. The process, initially announced as a tender, culminated in a contract award stage, formalised on 9th May 2025. The framework agreement spans a potential 48-month period, with the first year's anticipated purchase value around £14,080,000, and a total expected value of approximately £56,320,000. Deliveries are to occur at various locations across the UK.

This procurement offers substantial opportunities for businesses in the medical devices sector, particularly those supplying goods compatible with electrosurgery. With a framework agreement incorporating multiple lots, companies specialising in medical equipment manufacturing, particularly electrosurgical unit components, would find this contract highly promising. The procurement process engaged several suppliers including notable SMEs, allowing diverse participation and fostering healthy competition. This environment enables businesses to leverage quality offerings and service enhancements, tailoring proposals to competitive advantage criteria such as social value and sustainability which are integral to the NHS procurement strategy.

## Notice
