## Summary

The procurement process involves Wakefield Council establishing a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) for the provision of care in a registered care home. The industry category is health services, specifically focusing on community health services in the UKE region of the United Kingdom. The procurement stage is currently in the tender update phase, with a significant contract value of £119,363,000. Following a recent amendment, the PDPS process, initially set to end in 2026, has now been extended until 31 March 2028. Key personnel can be contacted at Wakefield Council, located at Wakefield One, Burton Street, WF1 2EB. The open procurement method facilitates applications during and after the initial application period, allowing ongoing opportunities for interested providers.

This tender represents a strategic opportunity for health service providers, particularly those capable of delivering tailored community health services within registered care homes. Given its nature as a PDPS, the procurement method is not competitive, meaning numerous businesses can qualify and join the system without a cap on participants. This structure promotes an inclusive business environment, fostering opportunities for both large healthcare organisations and smaller service providers to expand their operations and grow their market share in the health services sector. Interested businesses should possess appropriate insurance, financial compliance, and the capacity to deliver the required care services efficiently to meet the criteria set by Wakefield Council.
