## Summary

The London Borough of Newham is planning a procurement process titled "Newham Family Information Service and SEND Local Offer- Invitation to a Meeting" in the services category, focused on health and social work services. They are currently seeking website providers/designers to engage with through meetings to develop and refresh their Family Information Service and Special Educational Needs and Disability Local Offer website pages. Interested organisations should email sheila.begum@newham.gov.uk by Tuesday 13th February 2024 and complete a survey alongside outlining their availability for a meeting between 19th to 29th February 2024. The meetings aim to understand interest in website development in public sector spaces, show recent work demos, explore cost models, and enhance engagement with families through dynamic website features.

This tender from the London Borough of Newham presents an opportunity for website design and development businesses in the health and social work services industry to engage with a public sector organisation. Businesses specialising in website creation, dynamic features, and engaging interfaces for families could be well-suited to compete in this tender. The planned procurement process provides a chance for organisations to showcase their capabilities, understand sector requirements, and potentially secure future contracting opportunities with Newham Council. Interested businesses should consider their expertise in creating interactive platforms for families and aligning with the council's goals for website enhancements.

## Notice

Please note this is a Request For Information and not an invitation to enter a competition. Not responding to the survey published with this notice will not affect or preclude any organisations from bidding in upcoming opportunities. The London Borough of Newham are currently looking at options to develop and refresh their Family Information Service (FIS) and the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Local Offer website pages and would like to engage with website providers/ designers through meetings for an opportunity to explore their work. Local Authorities are required by law to provide information, advice and assistance relating to childcare services and beyond, and in Newham, like most Local Authorities, the Council has a Family Information Service which features online and provides information and signposting to services that support families in Newham, including details of local childcare and early years provision in local areas. As required by the SEND Code of Practice, the London Borough of Newham also has a SEND Local Offer available for families with children and young people with SEND. Both the Family Information Service and the SEND Local Offer in Newham feature on the same platform and can be accessed here: Newham Families Advice and Support | Family Information Service The current websites for both the FIS and SEND Local Offer are working well for families, however, working jointly with key partners including families, the London Borough of Newham have put in place an action plan for further improvements and developments during the next refresh of the webpages. This includes making both the FIS and Local Offer more dynamic so that there is increased interaction and engagement with both sites and thereby better utilisation of all pages across the platform. Newham Council would like to invite interested organisations to meetings on a 1:1 basis with the Council in order to: * Help Newham Council understand the interest and appetite for website development in public sector spaces; * Provide organisations the opportunities to show a demo of their recent work; * To understand common features that are increasingly making sites dynamic and engaging for families which will help to inform requirements going forward; * Explore cost models for sites such as the FIS and Local Offer. If you are interested in a meeting with the Council, please email sheila.begum@newham.gov.uk by Tuesday 13th February 2024 and complete the short survey available with this notice and submit it by this date. Please also outline your availability for a meeting for period between 19th to 29th February 2024.
