## Summary

Telford and Wrekin Council is in the process of updating its Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Minor Building Works, covering various construction-related services in the region of Telford, UKG21. The procurement, which falls under the industry category of "Building construction work" (CPV code 45210000), is currently in the tender stage with significant updates extending deadlines to 27th October 2028. The DPS encompasses works up to £800,000, with project specifics varying across multiple lots, including construction, building services, demolition, and asbestos removal, ensuring a structured approach through a selective procurement method under a 2-stage restricted procedure. Potential bidders can apply to join the DPS at any time to perform specific works as outlined in different lots, with the stage 2 call-off competition set to invite pre-approved providers for contract awards.

This tender presents numerous opportunities for businesses involved in construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, and specialised services like asbestos removal. Suppliers that meet the selection criteria and are admitted to the DPS can secure multiple projects, thereby growing their business through consistent work over an extended period. The setup is particularly advantageous for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) capable of handling contract values across a spectrum of £50,000 to £800,000. Companies looking to enhance their regional presence and establish long-term relationships with a local authority will find this DPS beneficial. Engaging in this procurement initiative could offer stability and foster growth in the competitive construction and building services market.
