## Summary

The Kent County Council is inviting tenders for Isolation Accommodation for newly arrived Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children with Communicable Infectious Diseases. The Council has a statutory responsibility under the Children Act 1989 and is seeking a provider with immediate access to a registered Children’s Home to accommodate these children under 16 who require isolation due to suspected or confirmed communicable infectious diseases. The tender deadline for this open procedure is March 5, 2024. The procurement stage is in the Tender phase, and the main industry category is Welfare services for children and young people.

This tender presents an opportunity for organisations able to provide accommodation and support services meeting specific criteria such as C2 classed residential children’s home, Ofsted registration, and NHS infection prevention standards. Businesses in the housing, social care, and support services sectors would be well-suited to compete for this opportunity. The procurement process is accelerated due to the urgent need for such services, offering potential growth opportunities for organisations with suitable expertise and resources.
