## Summary

Public Health Wales awarded a contract to Signum Health for the development of an online testing platform to enhance an existing clinical pathway. The project, part of the services category, aims to complete a bespoke triage and diagnostic software platform for Integrated Sexual Health. The procurement method used was a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract, valued at £117,471, was signed on January 26, 2024.

This procurement opportunity with Public Health Wales presents a chance for businesses specializing in development consultancy and software supply services to engage in projects related to public health. Businesses with expertise in secure, cloud-based systems and online platforms for healthcare services would find this tender well-suited for their capabilities. The completion of this project is critical for improving patient care and delivering online testing efficiently in Wales, ultimately reducing STIs and unintended pregnancies.

## Notice

Due to the lack of an electronic system in one HB, development is required outside original PHW-STA-959 cost to enable the online platform to be used by the HB to add to the initial record for any positives referred, resulting in one record that will also provide the surveillance reporting data required centrally.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The following requirement is an addition to the original project. The initial project cost was 108,824.00 GBP and the additional work which is now required to complete the secure, cloud based, online triage and diagnostic software platform for Integrated Sexual Health is 8,647.00 GBP. This will take the total project value to 117,471.00 GBP and the reason for this VEAT Due to the lack of an electronic system in one HB, development is required outside original STA cost to enable the online platform to be used by the HB to add to the initial record for any positives referred, resulting in one record that will also provide the surveillance reporting data required centrally. Without this additional work the development will not be possible and the HB will have to continue to use paper records and report surveillance data through excel spreadsheets.

### Procurement Information

Public Health Wales are looking to complete work on their bespoke, secure, cloud based, online triage and diagnostic software platform for Integrated Sexual Health. The original project has identified further work required to complete the project which is unable to be carried out by another supplier due to the system being built and licenced by the incumbent supplier. Failure to complete the work will adversely affect the ability to deliver online testing in Wales, impacting patient care and leading to an in increase in STIs and unintended pregnancies.
