## Summary

The Thanet District Council has initiated a tender process for the design and construction of a new skatepark facility in Margate, Kent. The project is part of the Margate Town Deal and aims to deliver a skatepark with ancillary buildings and facilities by summer 2026. The opportunity is targeted at contractors experienced in marine/coastal environments, large-scale skatepark builds, and consultants advising on skatepark developments. The deadline for Soft Market Testing responses is 21 March 2024.

This tender by the Thanet District Council presents a significant opportunity for specialist contractors with expertise in skatepark design and build projects. Businesses with experience in constructing sports facilities, landscaping for recreational areas, and providing architectural and engineering services are well-suited to participate. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, offering potential for growth and collaboration in the construction industry for interested parties.
