Local authorities have a duty to ensure the availability of Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) to meet the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act, 2005 and the Mental Health Act, 1983 respectively. The initial contract term will be for 12 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months for a potential total contract term of 24 months as stated in the ITT documents.
