## Summary

The public procurement process involved a tender initiated by Staffordshire County Council for a framework agreement focused on the Transportation and Processing of Garden Waste services. The procurement stage was completed, resulting in contract awards to two suppliers: RJT & AR Ainsworth for the Stafford Borough Council and Biowise Ltd t/a Wastewise for the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council. These contracts were signed on specific dates in July 2024. The contracts have a total value of £4,570,000 GBP and have an active status.

This tender presents business opportunities for suppliers in the refuse and waste-related services industry, particularly those with expertise in composting and waste processing. The procurement method used was an open procedure, providing a fair chance for interested businesses to bid. Suppliers focusing on quality services while being price competitive were awarded the contracts. Businesses aiming to grow through public procurement in the environmental services sector will find this tender attractive, with clear contract specifications and long-term contract periods until June 2028.

## Notice

The framework is for supplier(s) to supply treatment facilities for the acceptance of separately collected green waste to be processed, with the exception of lot three which is for mixed food and green waste.
