## Summary

North Lanarkshire Council has awarded contracts for planned re-roofing, re-rendering, and energy efficiency works, including photovoltaic installations across domestic properties in North Lanarkshire, covered by CPV classifications such as roof works and special trade construction. The procurement is a part of the Council's initiative to improve energy efficiency, supported by Scottish Government Funding. The process involved a restricted procedure, and contracts have been signed with contractors Procast Building Contractors Ltd., G.M.G. (Contractors) Ltd, and Ailsa Building Contractors Ltd., effective from 29th November 2024. These works are relevant under the Selective Procurement Method, reflecting the completion stage of the award process as of the most recent date of August 14, 2025. Businesses interested had until April 10th, 2024, for submission of clarifications, indicating the selective nature of the procurement method specifically designed to enhance the quality and price aspects (40% for quality and 60% for price). The primary location for these works is North Lanarkshire, UKM84.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction and energy efficiency enhancements due to its multifaceted scope, including external wall insulation, roof structural integrity, and mechanical ventilation. Companies with relevant certifications such as ECO and PAS 2030/2035 stand to benefit greatly, as they will work closely with private owners to ensure project feasibility. This contract, valued significantly over £99 million across various lots and periods, assures substantial development opportunities for SMEs with sufficient capital strength and experience in similar projects. Furthermore, inclusion in this procurement allows for engagement with local communities, thus enhancing business profiles and contributing to regional sustainability efforts. Businesses that can demonstrate proven expertise in budget adherence, tenant engagement, and carbon reduction measures are particularly well-suited to leverage these contracts into robust business growth opportunities.
