## Summary

The North East Combined Authority (NECA) has announced an open tender for their Flexible Procurement Agreement for Children and Young People's Framework. This framework aims to support education and training services within the North East region of the United Kingdom (UKC). Managed by North Tyneside Council on behalf of NECA, the procurement is currently in the tender stage. Potential suppliers are invited to submit electronic bids by 30th August 2024 at noon. The total value of the contract is set at £50,000,000, spread across various lots, including 'Child Poverty Prevention' and 'Education Improvement'. The framework is designed for addressing child poverty and enhancing educational outcomes through a comprehensive and inclusive approach.

This tender presents significant opportunities for both medium and small enterprises, particularly those experienced in education and community-focused services. Public sector organisations, independent training providers, and Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply. The 'Child Poverty Prevention' lot is focused on innovative poverty interventions and support through schools and employers, while the 'Education Improvement' lot aims at school enhancement and professional development for teachers and leaders. With up to three one-year extensions available, this framework can help businesses secure long-term contracts and play a pivotal role in regional educational and socio-economic development.

## Notice

The funding for children and young people's programmes intends to build an inclusive economy, where all children and young people have equal opportunities to realise their potential and be part of the region's future success. To achieve this, we are reopening the opportunity to apply to the Children and Young People's Flexible Procurement Framework and inviting a wide range of organisations and providers including public and private sector, independent training organisations, Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (VCSE) organisations and other stakeholders, to tender for a place on the Framework. The Flexible Procurement Framework will be utilised to procure providers for North East CA investment fund allocation for education improvement and child poverty prevention programmes. Note: Whilst the Buyer in the Contact Details is listed as "North Tyneside Council", this entry is system generated. For the avoidance of doubt, the Buyer in this case is the North East Combined Authority. North Tyneside Council are conducting this procurement on North East CA's behalf
