For the provision of supervision of clinical leads for Psychologically Informed Planned Environments (PIPEs) Supervision of clinical leads is undertaken by a group analyst who is experienced working with personality disorder, staff teams and organisational dynamics; they come together once a month for monthly group supervision and bi-monthly for individual supervision. The participants of the supervision are PIPE Clinical Leads and PIPE Operational Leads (separate groups) working across prisons and probation in the delivery of PIPE services. The Clinical Leads are typically a mix of Registered Psychologists and Psychotherapists. The supervision processes are designed to support the ongoing delivery and growth of PIPE services and the PIPE model nationally, to promote the understanding of the 'therapeutic environment' approach, and to promote the role of group analytic thinking within this process. Supervision is a fundamental pillar of this and key to the ongoing success of the therapeutic environment. * Improving access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice (20%) The PIPE promotes the understanding of the therapeutic environment, supporting the network across this service, and its ongoing growth thereby improving access over the longer term. Health inequalities are reduced by improvement of outcomes for service users and a continuous improvement in the provision of the service. * Social value (20%) much of the service delivery for PIPE supervision is delivered remotely, thereby reducing travel and related emissions, supporting the NHS in its journey to net zero.
