### Procurement Information

Due to the urgency of this requirement there is not sufficient time to run a mini competition within the Scotland Excel Waste DPS prior to the end date of the current contract, as the contract is required to be awarded by 28/03/2024 at the latest to ensure continuity of service. Continuity of service provision for this requirement is essential as if no contract is awarded then the council will not be able to fulfil its statutory duties in providing a general waste refuse collection service in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. This interim cover will provide time for the Council to carry out a mini competition within the DPS for a longer term contract.
