## Summary

NHS England is overseeing the contracting process for the "Infected Blood Inquiry Psychological Support Service," which falls under the health services category (CPV code 85100000). This process, conducted as a Provider Selection Regime, is executed using the Most Suitable Provider Process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. This procurement specifically targets established commissioned Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centres. The most recent significant update occurred on 24th April 2025, with the contract awarded to operate from 30th August 2024 for an initial period of five years, with a potential two-year extension. The total estimated contract value stands at approximately £22,809,000. The planning phase was first noted on 27th March 2024, and contracts were signed on 28th May 2024.

This procurement presents extensive opportunities for businesses in the health services sector, particularly those with existing capabilities and infrastructures related to haemophilia care. Organisations such as large NHS Trusts that are already operating as Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centres are well-positioned to compete in this tender. They stand to benefit from the contract's substantial financial commitment and the potential for contract extension. As the procurement method is limited to suitably equipped centres, competition is centered around the capability to meet comprehensive care requirements, which can drive further specialisation and improvement within the industry.
