## Summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is spearheading the procurement process for the Synergy Programme, aimed at delivering a shared Human Resources and Finance Business Process Service (BPS) solution across several UK Government Departments including the Ministry of Justice, Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Home Office. Categorised under business and management consultancy services, this procurement focuses on providing modern and innovative value for money services. Currently, the process is at the planning stage with intentions to engage the market pre-procurement through a Request for Information and Expressions of Interest by 25th April 2024. The procurement anticipates using a competitive procedure with negotiation as outlined in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in consultancy, IT services, and software development. Companies able to provide competitive technical and quality solutions in line with government sustainability objectives can find auspicious prospects in a consortium or as prime contractors with subcontractors. As the programme oversees a significant workforce and aims to implement a high-performing Future Shared Services Organisation, businesses excelling in data services, personnel services, and IT systems integration will be well-positioned to contribute. This initiative not only promises transformation within government service delivery but also offers supplier partnerships a platform for growth and innovation within the public sector's evolving landscape.
