The new contract is intended to begin on 1st April 2024 and end on 31st March 2025 with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The value of the new contract is PS30,405,883 (excl. VAT) with a maximum cumulative value of PS60,811,766 (excl. VAT). Please note that these are expected values and may be amended post contract finalisation with the provider.

The service has been in place since 1st April 2021 and has a total cumulative value of approximately PS72,000,000 (excluding the value of this new contract).

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust provide the following Adult Mental Health services for West Essex Place patients:
* Integrated community mental health service
* Community specialist mental health service
* Adult community eating disorder & FREED
* All age mental health crisis service and home first (home treatment) service
* Mental health liaison service (PAH)
* Memory assessment and neurocognitive service

In addition, the ICB commission Essex wide services with Essex health colleagues via the current mental health contract(s):

* Intensive support team
* Adult ADHD service
* Early intervention in psychosis (EIP) service
* Personality disorders
* Adult assessment unit - Inpatient service
* Adult acute psychiatric inpatient service
* Adult psychiatric intensive care (PICU) service
* Older adult (Organic) psychiatric inpatient service
* Older adult (functional) psychiatric inpatient service In patient rehabilitation " Additional information: In line with best practice, the Authority will observe a voluntary 10-day standstill period prior to concluding the proposed contract with Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

Options: Option to extend for a further year from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026

### Procurement Information

NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) was incorporated on 1st July 2022 and includes the three previous clinical commissioning groups. Since the HWE ICB was incorporated, we have been working to review services across each 'place' to ensure that there is equity of access for our patients across the broader ICB area.

The provider is an incumbent provider in HWE ICB in West Essex place since 2021 and delivers a good quality, timely service to West Essex patients and is integrally linked with all existing trusts in the West Essex and wider Essex area.
