## Summary

The Essex County Council is planning a tender with the title "PL0079 Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Market Engagement - LEVI Fund" in the works category. This procurement aims to boost the number of on-street low-powered charge points in residential areas. Charge Point Operators are invited to respond to the Market Engagement pack to help design the best commercial arrangement for the allocated grant funding. The communication of future notices is set for September 15, 2024, creating opportunities for businesses in the electrical installation and related sectors.

Businesses in the electrical installation, chargers, electric vehicles, and installation services sectors would be well-suited to compete in this upcoming tender. The tender by Essex County Council seeks providers who can maximise the delivery of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure. This opportunity can lead to business growth for companies specialising in EV charging technology and installation services, aligning with the council's objective to accelerate the commercialisation of EV Charging infrastructure in Essex.

## Notice

Essex County Council have been pre-allocated PS8,382,000 under the Local Electric Vehicle (LEVI) fund, which aims to increase the number of on-street low-powered charge points in residential areas, accelerating the commercialisation of EV Charging infrastructure across the county. As part of ensuring that we deliver the maximum value for money and design the best commercial arrangement for this funding, we would be grateful if Charge Point Operators (CPOs) could respond to our Market Engagement pack. The purpose of this is to discover which providers are able to deliver on this requirement and how suppliers would maximise the delivery of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure with ECC's allocated grant funding. We will then be holding follow up meetings with selected providers
