## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Ltd focuses on the award of a framework agreement titled "Cable Jointing Services, Replacement of Compound Filled Service Cut-outs and Loop Service Replacement." It falls under the industry category of installation services, excluding software, and is geographically located in Northern Ireland. This procurement has moved through to the award stage, with the most recent activities completed in June 2025. The process utilised a selective procurement method, specifically a negotiated procedure with prior call for competition, and involved three lots. Key elements such as delivery timelines and service provision were carefully structured within this framework, initially active for four years with potential extensions.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for businesses in the electrical and construction industries, particularly those capable of providing comprehensive services in electric power line construction, mains connections, and related installation works. SMEs, like KJM Electrical Ltd and Whitemountain Quarries Ltd, which have been awarded contracts for specific lots, demonstrate that smaller scale enterprises can effectively compete in this space. Businesses with expertise in high voltage systems, infrastructure installation, and customer-focused service provision are particularly well-suited for such opportunities, benefiting from a structured framework agreement with possibilities for business growth over a multi-year period.
