## Summary

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has awarded contracts to Northwest Laboratories Limited and SGS United Kingdom Limited for the provision of routine standardised testing of controlled door closing devices, adhering to the BS EN 1154:1997 standard. This procurement falls within the technical testing, analysis, and consultancy services industry category and is being carried out across the UK. The process was conducted using an open procedure under Regulation 27 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The DBT is currently in the planning stage for a future contract valued at £700,000, with a tender process anticipated to commence from 7th June 2024.

Furthermore, this tender aligns with OPSS's broader construction products planning goals, making it a suitable venture for firms with expertise in regulatory compliance and market data collection. Interested suppliers should consider submitting their expressions of interest by 31st May 2024 to be part of this growth opportunity.
