## Summary

The Essex County Council is planning a procurement process for the Colchester Park and Ride Service. This opportunity falls under the ‘Transport services’ category and aims to provide a sustainable bus service to reduce emissions and offer an alternative to driving. Interested providers need to complete the market engagement questionnaire by 25th May 2024. ## Notice

Essex County Council (the Authority) is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) as a Request for information (RFI), to engage with the market to gather information in order to gain a better understanding of both the capacity and the appetite of the market in delivering the proposed services, and to alert the market to a future tender opportunity. The purpose of this procurement activity is to continue the Colchester Park & Ride Service to provide a high quality, frequent bus service and an attractive alternate to driving and parking in the city centres. Additionally, to reduce air quality emissions, carbon footprint, and provide a 'last mile' sustainable journey for those without access to a direct bus service.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The purpose of this procurement activity is to continue the Colchester Park & Ride Service to provide a high quality, frequent bus service and an attractive alternate to driving and parking in the city centres. Additionally, to reduce air quality emissions, carbon footprint, and provide a 'last mile' sustainable journey for those without access to a direct bus service. At this stage, The Authority wishes to invite interested Providers to complete the market engagement questionnaire which can be found at the link below: https://forms.office.com/e/cLnc95x1cn The closing date for this questionnaire is 12pm on Friday 25th May 2024, however please complete at your earliest opportunity if you wish to participate in this Market Engagement Exercise. It is important to note that this PIN is not a call for competition and as such you will need to express your interest in any future tender opportunity once the contract notice is published in Find a Tender and on Contracts Finder. It should also be noted that this PIN invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this exercise only, and it is NOT a pre-qualification questionnaire. It is also NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN is intended as an awareness, communication, and information gathering exercise.
