Whilst the provision will be delivered in a group setting, the ability to manage and meet the needs of individuals challenging behaviour and needs will be imperative. These pupils have poor motivation and ambitions for the future so a provision that will engage the pupils in structured activities, which will help them to develop team-work, and communication skills: they need intensive support using engaging, hands-on, motivational activities. Guidance on appropriate behaviour, developing self-respect and respect for others, and reducing risk-taking behaviour is required. This provision must have Military focus.

Young people who access the Credu programme may have challenging behaviour and complex needs but can thrive where they are allowed to be more enterprising in their approach to life, learning and their career pathway. We are looking for specific provision that will develop the skills to show initiative and resourcefulness. The design of the programme and duration of the programme can be varied but must focus on skills and aim to develop key themes such as showing initiative, risk-taking, resilience, problem solving, creativity, lateral thinking, blue-sky thinking, innovation, imagination and determination.
