The basis for a direct award of contract is that the Contracting Authority is seeking a single provider who can do this, and has only identified a single provider, who has a proven history of being able to deliver and maintain this. ### Procurement Information It is the Contracting Authority's intention to directly award a contract based on the following justification: Its strategic approach is for the implementation of care pathways - across primary, community and hospital services - which can provide rapid and intensive support to how the delivery of care is integrated and can better secure the various care needs of patients. Its market assessment has only identified a single provider - who has the range of readily available care pathways that can be localised - that can deliver the rapid improvement that the Contracting Authority requires commensurate to securing the needs of patients. This consists of over 1,000 pathways that could be immediately available to local clinicians - across primary, community and hospital services - to review, edit and localise to direct how the various care needs of patients can be better secured. The adopting of this service and by using this platform means joining and international community of collaborators who can easily and rapidly share established and tested content to support high quality care, which can be localised.
